Cold weather can take a toll on jetting equipment, reducing efficiency and increasing the risk of costly damage. A little preparation goes a long way. Here’s a simple winter-ready checklist to help keep your Essential Series jetter running smoothly throughout the colder months.
1. Prevent Freezing
Drain down your system: If you’re not using antifreeze, make sure all water is emptied from the tank, hoses, pump and nozzles after each use. Any water left inside can freeze and cause serious damage.
Use antifreeze where possible: Circulating antifreeze through the system at the end of the day provides reliable protection when working in freezing temperatures. Always follow the instructions in your operator’s manual.

2. Carry Out Basic Winter Maintenance

Outdoor or van storage: Use insulation, an all-weather cover, or a night heater to help prevent freezing. Keeping the water tank insulated can make a big difference.
